TASTING NOTES

Doundrins Cucumber Vodka is very straight forward - it flavored only with the freshest of cucumbers brought to us directly from a Wisconsin farmer at the peak time of harvest. After getting the cucumbers, we individually peel each one either by hand with a peeler for the oddly shaped ones or through a manual tabletop piece of equipment that can help us peel uniformly shaped cucumbers a little faster with flexible blades on springs. After peeling, we dice up all the cucumbers before putting them directly into vodka to mascerate. The flavor comes only from fresh cucumbers. After masceration is done, we filter out the cucumbers by using a wine press, where we press the fruit to extract every last bit of juice possible!

Green Barn Farm Market
Established in the summer of 1992, Green Barn Farm Market started with 10 acres of fresh produce and has grown to over 100 acres today. The owners, Tom and Heather Bandt, graduated from UW-Madison in 1991 with degrees in agriculture and were married in 1992. In addition to producing fresh produce, they also farm 900 acres of field corn, soybeans, and winter wheat, while also raising Black Angus beef cattle. Their success is based on a simple business principle: selling quality produce and beef at a fair price. Today, Green Barn Farm Market sells its produce and beef at local farmer's markets and wholesales produce to large grocery stores. Their season begins in early May and ends the first week of November.
Green Barn Farm Market only sells produce they grow and harvest on their own farm.
