Doundrins Maple Syrup Liqueur is a sweet maple-forward spirit that is made with local Maple Syrup. The maple syrup for our spirit comes from Nigon View Maples in Greenwood, WI, which is about 2.5 hours from the distillery. It is one of our fan favorites. You can use it as the main spirit in a cocktail for something like our famous “Blueberry Pancake” which combines blueberries and cream soda with our Maple Syrup Liqueur for a delightful cocktail. The Maple Syrup Liqueur can also be used to compliment any of our other spirits or ones you may have in your liquor cabinet at home. It adds a strong sweetness and maple syrup flavor that is sure to punch up your next craft creation. Or, simply savor its delicious flavor on the rocks.
Please note that we are actively transitioning all products across all markets from our black-and-white labels to our watercolor labels. You could receive either label in your order unless otherwise noted.
TASTING NOTES

Doundrins Distilling Maple Syrup Liqueur starts off with maple syrup fresh from a local farm, Nigon-View, that we get in 50 gallon drums. The maple syrup is then added to a neutral spirit at just the right amount to balance the sweetness and flavor of the maple. That is all! This spirit brings out the genuine flavor of the maple syrup havested right here in Wisconsin.

Nigon-View Farms
Nigon-View Dairy is a multigenerational dairy farm that has grown into a diverse agricultural business. Founded in 1978 in Greenwood, WI by Clair and Geraldine Nigon, the farm started as a dairy with 48 milking cows. In 1987, Clair's son, Marty took over the farm with his wife Kathleen. Together they have grown the herd to 85 Registered Holsteins with 1,000 acres of cropland. They grow alfalfa, corn, soybeans, oats, and wheat on their cropland.
Marty and Kathy also manage 120 acre of woodland, which is used for the family's Maple Syrup business. Since 2000, the Nigon family taps 700 trees in their woods to produce roughly 500 gallons of syrup. The syrup business is a labor of love: all of the sap is hand collected, cooked down to syrup using a wood fired stove, and bottled by the family.
